Simple Fruit Punch (Juicer Recipe)
This simple fruit punch recipe is a refreshing drink that will help keep you cool and hydrated this summer!
This recipe does require a juicer.
I’ve always loved the fruity aroma of hibiscus tea—it seriously smells just like fruit punch to me! So one day, while rummaging through the fridge, trying to figure out what to make, I spotted some leftover grapes the fam wasn’t too interested in anymore. I decided to juice them, toss in an apple, and see if I could whip up my own version of a fruit punch! And it turned out amazing!
I started by brewing the hibiscus tea and letting it chill in the fridge for a couple of hours. Then, I juiced the grapes and apple together, and mixed it all for a refreshing, delicious fruit punch!
You can easily adjust the sweetness to your liking by tweaking the amount of grape and apple juice you use. Want it sweeter? Just add more grapes! Looking for something less sweet? Cut back on the grapes a bit. Super simple and so yummy!
Let’s take a look at some of the amazing nutrients in these goodies:
- Hibiscus Tea: This vibrant, fruity smelling tea is packed with antioxidants, particularly vitamin C and anthocyanins, which help protect your cells from damage caused by free radicals. It also contains minerals like iron and calcium and is known for its heart-healthy benefits, such as helping to lower blood pressure. Some studies suggest these compounds may slow the growth of cancer cells and reduce inflammation, which is key in cancer prevention.
- Grapes: Grapes are little powerhouses of vitamins C and K, both important for immune health and bone strength. They’re also rich in antioxidants, especially resveratrol, a potent antioxidant known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties. Resveratrol has been studied for its ability to inhibit the growth of cancer cells, especially in breast, colon, and skin cancers. Plus, they’re super hydrating since they’re mostly made of water!
- Granny Smith Apples: These tart apples provide vitamin C for immune support and potassium, which helps with heart function and fluid balance. Apples also contain quercetin and other flavonoids, which have been shown to reduce the risk of several cancers, including lung and colon cancer. They’re also high in fiber, which supports digestive health.
Together, these ingredients are an amazing mix of cancer-fighting nutrients that not only taste great but also nourish your body and support overall health.
